SPAD (single photon avalanche diode) is used in single-photon detection applications, where it is often involved in photon counting. Hamamatsu offers SPAD array and module products, and we can integrate these detectors with ASIC and customize our products to fit into your unique system. SPAD sensors can be used in optical tomography and other low-light-level applications.
